A Fantasy Escalation League is starting at Skul N Bonz!
It will be 6 months long, and consist of 1 day a month for gaming!

At the end of the league, all participants can play in a 2250 Fantasy Tournament for big prizes!


The league will start February 27th, 2010, and consist of 500 points!

All interested parties drop a line here, and also check back for the scenerio, missions, and a few twists!


COST= FREE!!

So if you ever wanted to try fantasy, now is the time to give it a go!

Ok, I'm fairly sure I'm interested in this, however...

I know you are starting this at 500 and I assume you will end it at 2250 after 6 months(in preparation of the tournament). My question is what points will you be increasing the armies by each month after 500? Knowing this will help me get an understanding on not only what to put in my lists, but what kind of money I'll need to spend each month etc.

For some reason, I do not like the new minataurs. I love all the other new models, but I preer the old minataurs to the new ones....

I'm leaning heavily towards Wood Elves since Beastman are taken (Stump loves those sheep! lol) So I'll probably be dancing is the meadows and glades with Unicorns, Faeries and other such forest spirits while picking wildflowers and berries. All shall rue the day when my pointy-eared dandelion eaters take the field...as long as someone else is rolling my dice!! You get the picture! They might be tree-shaggers but the models are just too cool. Especially adding in an Ultraforge Treewoman and Dragon near the End of the League. Anyone have some experience with this army, some hints on what Core Units to start with and/or Lords/Heroes?

The new Minotaur models don't look as cool but I don't care they will still rip your arms off and beat you with them. My army like parties too just for other more carnal reasons.

I need some bits if someone (Anglacon) has some I can have, Hand weapons that are of the smaller size I don't care what army my army would steal from anyone.

Round 2 - 750 points

Restrictions on army lists:

Minimum:

1 hero
2 troops

Maximum:
1 rare


If you lost the battle last game, this game you decide to "hire" som extra muscle.
In your new 750 point list, you can, FOR FREE, add 1 mercinary captain to help your army. The captains stats are as follows:

mv: 4, ws: 4, bs: 4, str: 3, At: 2, Ld: 8, Toughness: 4, Wounds: 2

He is armed with "The Biting Blade", which gives a -1 to armour saves (so -2 in total)
He is on foot, and cannot be given any extra equipment.

If he is NOT deployed in a unit, he has the "Scout" special rule, and is also armed with a bow. (24" range, str 3)
If you choose to use him this way, he may NEVER join a unit for any reason.

He gives no victory points to the enemy if killed.

I was also reading the rule book Redcloud and you where doing a couple rules wrong in my favor which might have helped you a little.

Dwarfs get 2 dispel dice over the normal army so you would have had 4.

Also your throwing weapons don't need +1 to hit when you move.

When I had you pinched between two units and you told me it was destroyed because of that, you ignore troops your in combat with and you may have gotten away.

Some rules I found where rather interesting thou.

You get a +1 for holding the high ground I never knew that.

well you still had over half your models I probably would have only pursued with my ungor squad if they did not catch them and then you could have rallied reranked up with two ranks and then take the next charge you may have won and then been able to charge into my gor squad I had moved over to charge your rangers.

This is all theory but still could have happened. I don't know the rules reel well, either do Imperail fisted we are learning them as we go.

Hopefully we all get the rules down by 2000 pts.
